Position: Examiner for the Pre-registration Examination

(1 x Community Pharmacy Sector)

 

REMUNERATION PACKAGE:

The examiner will be reimbursed for setting the paper on a prorated basis

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • A minimum qualification of a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree or equivalent, and registration with the SAPC as a practising pharmacist;
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in community pharmacy;
  • Must be a registered assessor with the SAPC; and
  • May not be a registered tutor of a Pharmacist Intern during the period of appointment as an examiner.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Set the pre-registration examination for Pharmacist Interns;
  • Facilitate Pre-registration Examination workshops; and
  • Attend to all matters related to the Pre-registration Examination.

Position: Examiner for the External Integrated Summative Assessment (EISA) for Pharmacist’s Assistant (Basic), Pharmacist’s Assistant (Post-Basic) and Pharmacy Technician qualification

(1 x Community Pharmacy Sector)

(1 x Institutional Pharmacy Sector)

(1 x manufacturing Pharmacy Sector)

 

REMUNERATION PACKAGE:

The examiner will be reimbursed for setting the paper on a prorated basis

 

REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • A minimum qualification of a Bachelor of Pharmacy (BPharm) degree or equivalent, and registration with the SAPC as a practising pharmacist;
  • A minimum of five (5) years’ experience in community, institutional, manufacturing pharmacy and/or academia;
  • Must be a registered assessor with the SAPC; and
  • May not be involved in the training of Pharmacist’s Assistant (Basic), Pharmacist’s Assistant (Post-Basic) and Pharmacy Technician learners for the Occupational Certificate Qualification.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Set the External Integrated Summative Assessments for students/learners completing the Pharmacist’s Assistant (Basic) and/or Pharmacist’s Assistant (Post-Basic) at NQF 4 and NQF 5, respectively;
  • Set the External Integrated Summative Assessment for students/learners completing the pharmacy technician qualification at NQF 6;
  • Facilitate the EISA workshops for Pharmacist’s Assistant (Basic), Pharmacist’s Assistant (Post-Basic) and Pharmacy Technician learners; and
  • Attend to all matters related to the External Integrated Summative Assessments.
